Listening and Planning Stage
A successful peer media campaign must begin with a listening exercise. It is important to identify influential communities and identify the appropriate influencers within these communities before starting a social media campaign.During the listening and monitoring process topics and discussions pertinent to your business are identified. This listening and monitoring process provides an overview of the issues being discussed, the most influential sources of information and where the opportunities for engagement exist. The information will provide Boomtown with a list of top blogs and social networks to monitor for opportunistic discussions.

During this stage of the process Boomtown will determine business and communications objectives, evaluate internal resources, develop rules of engagement and set your peer media strategy. The object is to identify your strategy and key goals for the program.Boomtown recommends drafting a corporate best practices document outlining your social media policy for internal employee distribution. The purpose of a social media policy is to set ground rules for your company regarding the representation of your brand within online communities. It is recommended that whenever possible your own employees engage in online conversations directly.

Social Bookmarking
Social media Web sites like Myspace, Facebook, Kaboodle, and Digg are very popular and search engines regularly spider those sites for keywords and links. Our copywriters adeptly create reviews about your products and services or bookmark existing articles and place them on social media Web sites. They also add links in these reviews so that both search engines and social Web site users can find your Web site. Social bookmarking can dramatically increase your search engine rank, the amount of Web site visitors, and the number of prospective clients. |

Typically 250-500 words in length written from a third party perspective with the purpose of driving momentum on a keyword ranking and supporting SEO efforts for keyword positioning. The article will include opinions, reviews and other generalized information relevant to the topic and will focus on one keyword. The article is owned by the client and its content can be used at their discretion. Clients may suggest topics for content, however direction and creative liberty are at the discretion of the copywriter.
